leaving Longuich
We don't want to stay another night on the camper stop but rather be heading to Luxemburg today. For, the camper stop is all packed with motorhomes to all sides and we feel somewhat lost in between all these vehicles. Thus we are leaving Longuich at 16:00h and via the town of Trier we cross the border to Luxemburg in Wasserbillig.

Good-bye Germany

we refuel in Luxemburg at a low price
Just crossing the border, there is this road in Wasserbillig with approximately 10 gas stations in a row. We, too, fill up on diesel here. The diesel is as low as 1.19 EUR in Luxemburg instead of 1.49 EUR in good old Germany. While we fill up we see many customers with a carton of cigarettes or rather, with two cardboard boxes of coffee leaving the shop. Well, we don't need either of those.

shipping traffic on the Mosel river

we spend the night at the river banks
All we need now is a place to stay the night. There are lots of carparks all around, everything in Luxemburg or, Letzeburg as we call it and is engraved into their Euro coins. It doesn't take long to find a nice place for us, right at the Mosel banks. A few of those long boats come our way. It is amazing just how silently they pass by us. Oh, how we look forward to entering France tomorrow.

today's route ca.
44km
