on the way to Pontevedra
It has been 4 months to the day we left for our summer tour. And still we are in high spirits. The drive today crosses many fjords and thus many bridges. It is a scenic journey through this landscape.

Our destination for today is the town of Pontevedra. It has a very attractive old town, and while we walk we see ourselves on many shady places. The entire old town is a historical monument and it is a pleasure walking around. Some lanes are freshly being paved at present - what a terrible noise - but we do not mind too much. The immense heat of 31,5°C (87F) is shown on a display in town.

Our motorhome is parked on the shore of a sea arm, cut this deep into the country. Opposite are boats. The waterfront promenade is very lovely, and we sit on a bench. Annette cuts a few peaches. Now we are uncertain as to whether we should proceed directly to Santiago de Compostela or take a trip to the peninsula of El Grove for a short seaside holiday. Finally, we decide for the water because of the heat and head for Sanxenxo in the late afternoon.
