resting place of Aumale
Short of Valenciennes we cross the border to France. We leave the autobahn and drive along the national road directing Amiens. It rains over and over, a lengthy drive. Annette constantly falls asleep on her seat. Twice she lays on the bed during the drive.

Beyond Amiens in Aumale we find a nice resting place at a small pond. We are exhausted from driving and rest a little. After diner we want to strech our legs and go for a walk in town.

What a beautiful small town it is. We really feel arrived in France again. Will the weather change to the better soon? Herbert tinkers on his new camera for a bit. He also bought a book on this camera in Rostock for there is endless potentiality on this model. It may take some time until he becomes a professional.
